Mr. Provost has had experience as Design and Construction Project Engineer in various areas of Private and Public works projects and in Land Development. He has also gained experience in water and wastewater treatment plants and systems operations through both hands-on and management capacities.

Experience Record - Design

Experience in design areas have included design of individual storm sewer collection and detention systems and controlled outlet devices, sanitary sewer collection systems and pumping stations, water distribution systems and pumping stations, paving projects, bridges and highway engineering, and prestressed precast concrete parking garages and structures. Many of these projects have allowed Mr. Provost to gain extensive experience in the use of computer aided drafting and design of Engineering Applications and the use of three dimensional computer modeling. Specific projects have included numerous private subdivisions as well as public works projects.

While acting as Chief Engineer for a ready mixed concrete supplier and precast concrete manufacturer, Mr. Provost gained experiences in the design of many different types of architectural, structural, and common concrete mix designs. He was also responsible for the establishment and operation of a complete materials testing laboratory, including the detailed testing of aggregates and mixed concrete mixtures. Testing procedures where employed to test wet mix concrete and hardened concrete in place utilizing both destructive and non-destructive procedures. Other responsibilities included the supervision of proper reinforcing materials placement and the storage, handling, transporting and erection of precast concrete members.

This publication was for the Instrument Society of America International Conference and Exhibit, Houston, Texas, October, 1984.

Personal

Mr. Provost enjoys numerous hobbies outside of the workplace environment. Among those are skiing and model railroading. He is also an accomplished aviator, holding an Airline Transport Pilot License for both single and multi-engine aircraft, as well as several type ratings in corporate jet aircraft. He has accumulated over eight thousand hours of piloting experience.
